Husbandry Practices - Minimum Standards

There are 5 Minimum Standards from the Dairy Cattle Code of Welfare that outline requirements for husbandry practices.

All handling and manipulation of stock should be conducted quietly and calmly. Handling and restraint equipment should be well maintained and used by competent operators.

All equipment and facilities used for milking, moving, restraining or treating sick cattle should be appropriate for the purpose and number and type of stock.
