Print out the form provided and fill this out for your employee’s farm accommodation.  Be sure to specify if this is a service tenancy agreement by including the following text:

“The sections of the RTA relating to service tenancies are incorporated into this agreement, and will take precedence where there is a conflict with any other terms of this agreement”. 

You could include this within a covering letter to your employee on commencement of employment.

Before a tenant moves in, the landlord and tenant need to complete a tenancy agreement, which sets out the key items that the landlord and tenant agree to do.

Under the Residential Tenancies Act, all tenancies entered into after 1 December 1996 must have a written tenancy agreement.  The Act sets out the information that is required to be included in the tenancy agreement.
